Fundraising for Our Footy Club: Goal Smashed!

Update: 13 October 2026

The average monthly July rainfall fell in just the first two days of July. As a result, Cox Creek burst its banks in many locations throughout our town. As has happened before, the Bridgewater Raiders Football Clubrooms were flooded, resulting in about $3,000 worth of damage which isn't covered by insurance.

Activating Bridgewater launched a Go Fund Me fundraiser to help the club recover its losses and start the process of a masterplan for the oval precinct, benefiting the community and all clubs which use the space. The reality is these clubrooms are in the wrong place, prone to future flooding.

We Did It!

Once again we have been overwhelmed with the generosity of our local community. Thanks to 19 generous donations, the Bridgewater Raiders Football Club - Flood Relief and Future Go Fund Me campaign has officially reached its $2,000 goal – 100% complete!

This incredible result means the club can now replace essential equipment lost in the flood and begin laying the groundwork for a long-term solution. A community-led journey towards relocating these clubrooms and creating a multi-use sports hub at the oval, on higher ground.

What's Next?

While the immediate fundraising target has been met, the broader vision for the oval precinct remains. Any additional donations beyond the $2,000 goal will be set aside for a new masterplan or equivalent to commence future planning, so this doesn't happen again.

Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, and supported our local footy club. This is what community is all about.
